1. Zillow Preview Launch Details

Zillow will introduce its Preview program in April, enabling participating brokerages to publicly list 'coming soon' homes on Zillow, Trulia and affiliated brokerage and agent websites during a preview period. Listings will be exclusively displayed with priority placement in search results and save-home alerts.

2. Listing Requirements and Features

All Zillow Preview listings must include at least one photo, price, full address, property specifications, a description, tax and homeowners association fees, show instructions, listing contract date and expected market date. Consumers can contact agents directly or schedule tours with Zillow Preferred buyer’s agents once listings become active.

3. Redfin and Rocket Pricing Program

Redfin’s program launched on March 16, allowing Compass and Redfin agents to showcase 'coming soon' listings with prioritized search placement and agent contact information. Eligible buyers through Compass receive Rocket Preferred Pricing, offering a one-point interest rate reduction for the first year or up to $6,000 in lender credits.

4. Strategic Impact on Inventory and Engagement

These preview and pricing initiatives aim to increase early inventory visibility, reduce friction in the homebuying process and drive platform engagement among buyers and sellers. Expanded access to pre-market listings supports brokers’ compliance with listing standards while potentially boosting lead generation and revenue from preferred financing products.
