
ZIM Integrated Shipping Services has appointed Dr. Chen Lichtenstein as President and CEO effective July 1, replacing Eli Glickman. His board membership and employment agreement, requiring shareholder approval under Israeli Companies Law, leverages his CFO tenure at Syngenta and CEO leadership at ADAMA to drive growth and efficiency.
ZIM’s Board appointed Dr. Chen Lichtenstein as President and CEO effective July 1, 2026, following Eli Glickman’s April 15 resignation. He will also join the Board of Directors and his employment agreement will be submitted to shareholders in accordance with Israeli Companies Law.
Dr. Lichtenstein served as Chief Financial Officer at Syngenta Group from 2020 to 2023, overseeing strategy, integration and productivity across global operations and complex debt structures. From 2014 to 2020, he led ADAMA Ltd. as President and CEO, delivering industry-leading growth, improved profitability and a Shenzhen Stock Exchange listing.
Shareholder approval is required to finalize his employment under statutory law, with the vote planned in the coming months. The Board expects his global market expertise, integration experience and financial acumen to enhance ZIM’s competitive positioning and operational efficiency.
