Zoetis Secures EU Approval for Poulvac Procerta HVT-ND, Unlocking Asia Exports
ZTS•Zoetis received European Commission marketing authorization for Poulvac Procerta HVT-ND, a single-dose recombinant vector vaccine protecting chickens against Newcastle disease and Marek’s disease. EU approval unlocks export opportunities in southeast Asia and joins two other Poulvac Procerta HVT vaccines already authorized in Europe.
1. EU Marketing Authorization and Vaccine Profile
The European Commission approved Poulvac Procerta HVT-ND, a recombinant vector vaccine using turkey herpesvirus to deliver Newcastle disease and Marek’s disease antigens in a single dose. It can be administered in ovo or by subcutaneous injection at hatch, leveraging Zoetis’ two-decade HVT vector experience.
2. Export Opportunities and Portfolio Growth
The EU authorization opens export channels to southeast Asia, complementing approvals in over 35 markets and supporting poultry producers’ flock health programs. Poulvac Procerta HVT-ND enhances a portfolio that includes HVT-IBD and HVT-IBD-ND vaccines, further diversifying Zoetis’ single-dose solutions.
