Accenture and Databricks Establish 25,000-Expert AI Business Group with Lakebase and Genie
Accenture and Databricks launched the Accenture Databricks Business Group staffed by over 25,000 professionals trained in Databricks technology to help clients scale AI applications and agents. Initial deployments include pricing intelligence solutions for Albertsons Companies, BASF’s FOX finance assistant and Kyowa Kirin’s Lakehouse modernization project.

Accenture and Databricks have launched the Accenture Databricks Business Group, staffed by over 25,000 professionals trained in Databricks technology to help clients scale AI applications and agents.
2. Core Technologies
The group will deploy Lakebase for serverless Postgres databases, Genie for conversational data queries and Agent Bricks for building AI agents, aiming to centralize data governance and streamline operations.
3. Client Deployments
US retailer Albertsons Companies is adopting the partnership for merchant pricing intelligence, BASF introduced the FOX digital assistant in its finance division, and Kyowa Kirin International upgraded its data infrastructure with the Lakehouse platform.
4. Strategic Investments and Programs
The initiative includes a university program in India targeting final-year engineering students and aligns with Databricks’ $250 million, three-year investment in India to expand AI capabilities and talent.
