Northrop Grumman, RTX and GE Aerospace raised their 2026 profit forecasts as military demand and commercial aerospace services lifted sales and backlogs. Northrop and RTX reported record backlogs of $109.6 billion and $340 billion, respectively.
Northrop Grumman and RTX raised their annual profit forecasts, citing robust demand for military programs that pushed their backlogs to records. RTX reported a $340 billion backlog, up 36% from a year earlier, while Northrop's backlog reached $109.6 billion at September 30.
Northrop now expects 2026 adjusted earnings per share of $29.35 to $29.75, up from $28.60 to $29.10. RTX forecasts adjusted earnings per share of $7.65 to $7.75 and sales of $97 billion to $97.5 billion. GE Aerospace raised its adjusted earnings forecast to $8.00 to $8.10 per share, above analyst expectations of $7.92.
RTX and GE Aerospace also benefited from demand for commercial aerospace services. GE said prolonged high fuel prices could lead airlines to reduce flying and weaken demand for engine repairs, spare parts and spare engines.
