AIM ImmunoTech Doses Final Patient in Phase 2 Pancreatic Cancer Study; Topline Due Q1 2027
AIM•AIM ImmunoTech has dosed the final subject in its Phase 2 DURIPANC trial combining Ampligen with durvalumab for metastatic pancreatic cancer, setting the stage for primary endpoint analysis in December 2026. Topline results are slated for Q1 2027, with secondary endpoints including overall survival, progression-free survival and immune profiling to follow in mid-2027.
1. Phase 2 Dosing Milestone
The DURIPANC trial has now fully enrolled and dosed the last patient, marking completion of the dosing phase. The study evaluates Ampligen® (rintatolimod) plus AstraZeneca’s durvalumab in metastatic pancreatic cancer and is a collaboration with Erasmus Medical Center.
2. Timeline for Data Readouts
Primary endpoint analysis, focused on clinical benefit rate at 24 weeks, will begin in December 2026, with topline results expected in the first quarter of 2027. Secondary and exploratory analyses—including overall survival, progression-free survival and immune profiling—are scheduled to commence in June 2027.
3. Biomarker-Driven Strategy
Previous data from a named patient program showed patients with neutrophil/lymphocyte ratios below 4.5 saw a 9.1-month PFS improvement and 22.3-month OS improvement, while CA 19-9 stratification under 1000 corresponded to 4.5-month PFS and 11.6-month OS gains. AIM plans to leverage these biomarker insights to identify ‘super-responders’ and design a targeted Phase 3 trial.
