Air Products Lands Largest Semiconductor Gas Supply Contract for Samsung’s Pyeongtaek Fab
Air Products will build, own and operate state-of-the-art production facilities and supply systems for nitrogen, oxygen, argon and hydrogen to Samsung’s Pyeongtaek advanced semiconductor fab from 2028 through 2030. It marks Air Products’ largest semiconductor investment and will establish Pyeongtaek as its biggest global electronics site.
1. Agreement Scope
Air Products has been chosen by Samsung to build, own and operate multiple production facilities and a bulk specialty gas supply system in Pyeongtaek, supplying nitrogen, oxygen, argon and hydrogen to the new advanced semiconductor fab.
2. Timeline and Scale
The facilities are slated to come onstream in multiple phases from 2028 through 2030, representing Air Products’ largest-ever investment in the semiconductor industry and designating Pyeongtaek as its single largest global operations site supporting electronics.

This project underscores over 50 years of Air Products’ presence in Korea and more than 40 years serving the global electronics sector, reinforcing its leadership role in supplying industrial gases to the semiconductor industry.
