Akari Therapeutics raises CEO Abizer Gaslightwala’s base salary to $625,000
AKTX•Akari Therapeutics raised CEO Abizer Gaslightwala’s annual base salary to $625,000 effective Aug. 18, 2026, and increased his target annual bonus opportunity to 55% of base salary.
1. Compensation changes
The company amended Gaslightwala’s employment agreement on Sept. 29, 2026. It will pay $62,500 in restricted stock units over 12 months; his target salary and bonus total about $970,000. His equity package includes options for 174,000 ADSs, with monthly vesting over four years from March 18, 2026. The RSUs and options are subject to shareholder approval to expand the ADSs available under the 2023 Equity Incentive Plan.
