Alignment Healthcare has consolidated its board and executive leadership by appointing Founder and CEO John Kao as Chairman of the Board in addition to his CEO duties. Joseph Konowiecki, the former Board Chairman, will serve as Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs, overseeing Human Resources, Legal and Communications to ensure cohesive enterprise execution.

Mark Kent joins Alignment Healthcare as President of its Management Services Organization, bringing extensive experience leading value-based primary care networks. He will lead the MSO’s operational performance, provider support and expansion of payer-provider partnerships, leveraging his background from a multi-state primary care organization and senior roles at Humana.

Shane Hochradel was appointed Chief Operating Officer to strengthen enterprise operations across Medicare, Medicaid and commercial segments. With prior leadership at Elevance Health, UnitedHealth Group and Highmark Health, he will oversee market operations and functional execution, reporting directly to John Kao to advance the company’s growth trajectory.
