Alpha Modus launched Alpha Cash, a mobile banking app integrated with physical retail kiosks, targeting 5.6M unbanked U.S. households and tapping into the $347B annual fees market. Initial Texas deployment covers kiosks, with 4,000 future locations identified and a pilot with a national retailer to expand access.
1. Commercial Launch of Alpha Cash
Alpha Modus Holdings has officially launched Alpha Cash, a mobile banking app now available in the Apple App Store and supported by physical kiosks embedded in retail environments. Operated by subsidiary Alpha Modus Financial Services, the platform offers consumers digital financial services outside traditional bank ecosystems.
2. Underserved Market Opportunity
The platform targets the estimated 5.6 million unbanked U.S. households and taps into the $347 billion annual fees consumers pay under legacy financial systems. By focusing on high-fee, high-friction workflows, Alpha Modus aims to address a largely ignored market of cash-dependent consumers.
3. Platform Features and Roadmap
Alpha Cash currently enables in-person cash loading, free peer-to-peer transfers, domestic and international remittance across 19 countries, reloadable prepaid debit card access, gift card and ticket purchases, and mobile top-up. Upcoming features include ultra-low-cost same-day check deposits, external bank account linking, and bill pay without a traditional bank account.
4. Physical Retail Moat and Expansion
Initial kiosk deployments are live in Texas, and a pilot with a national retailer is underway. Alpha Modus has identified more than 4,000 additional retail locations for future expansion, pursuing a deploy→scale→embed→monetize strategy to create a phygital distribution moat.
