Illinois American Water deployed over 12,000 solar panels at its Bradley Water Treatment Plant in Champaign and San Koty Water Treatment Plant in Peoria. These installations are projected to offset greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to removing nearly 25,000 cars or conserving over 13 million gallons of gasoline over 15 years.

2. Regional Customer Service Footprint

Illinois American Water serves approximately 1.3 million people across Illinois, while California American Water and Iowa American Water provide services to about 720,000 and 225,000 customers respectively. Together, these subsidiaries leverage strategic infrastructure investments to maintain safe, reliable water delivery.

3. Earth Day Conservation and Community Outreach

On Earth Day, California and Iowa subsidiaries issued water-saving tips—fixing leaks, running full loads of laundry and dishes, and proper disposal of household chemicals—and Illinois American Water engaged students and farmers through Clean Water Celebration and soil health field days. All divisions encouraged participation in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day to protect waterways.
