Armata Pharmaceuticals wins new U.S. patents for AP-SA02, AP-PA02 phage programs
ARMP•Armata Pharmaceuticals secured two U.S. patents covering its AP-SA02 and AP-PA02 bacteriophage candidates, extending expected U.S. protection to at least February 2041 and about January 2043, respectively.
1. Patent coverage
The patents cover Armata’s bacteriophage candidates AP-SA02 and AP-PA02. AP-SA02 is intended as an adjunct treatment for complicated Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia, including MSSA and MRSA; the company plans a Phase 3-ready superiority study later in 2026.
