1. $250B Five-Year Connectivity Investment

AT&T is committing more than $250 billion from 2026 to 2030 to build the nation’s largest converged fiber and wireless network, aiming to serve over 100 million U.S. customers with advanced connectivity. The pledge coincides with the 150th anniversary of the first phone call and underscores AT&T’s role in driving future innovation and economic growth.

2. Infrastructure Modernization and Workforce Development

The investment funds expansion of fiber, 5G home internet, wireless and AST SpaceMobile satellite services, along with modernization of critical infrastructure and AI-driven Dynamic Defense security controls. AT&T plans to hire thousands of technicians in 2026, with only 5% of roles requiring four-year degrees, emphasizing training, upskilling and network resilience across urban, suburban and rural markets.
