1. Strategic Order for Argentina Pipeline
Baker Hughes secured an order with San Matias Pipeline S.A. to supply three NovaLT™16 gas turbines equipped with centrifugal compressors, along with commissioning services, spare parts and remote monitoring. The equipment will be installed at a compressor station near Allen, Río Negro, to facilitate natural gas transport.
2. First NovaLT™ Deployment in South America
This marks the inaugural use of the NovaLT™ gas turbine platform in a South American midstream project, reflecting regional demand for high-efficiency, lower-emissions turbomachinery and reinforcing the company’s growth in Latin American energy infrastructure markets.
3. Project Role in Vaca Muerta LNG Exports
The pipeline project will move natural gas from the Vaca Muerta formation to the Gulf of San Matias, supplying feed gas to two floating LNG vessels operated by Southern Energy, thereby strengthening Argentina’s LNG export capacity.
4. Technology and Service Package
The order includes three centrifugal compressors, commissioning support, spare parts, special tools, and remote diagnostic capabilities. The NovaLT™16 platform was chosen for its performance, efficiency and competitive delivery timeline in midstream gas compression applications.
