Becton Dickinson rises after pledging $19 billion US investment for tariff relief
BDX•Becton Dickinson shares rose 2.87% to $185.85 after the company pledged $19 billion over several years for US domestic manufacturing in exchange for protection from future tariffs.
1. Investment pledge
Becton Dickinson said it plans capital, operational and supply-chain investments, including $3 billion for manufacturing facilities. The White House said the company is investing $110 million to expand syringe production at its Columbus plant, following an earlier $35 million investment.
