BGIN Blockchain Reports Seventh Consecutive Tape-Out Success with 4nm BT1 Bitcoin ASIC Chip
BGIN Blockchain’s 4nm BT1 Bitcoin mining ASIC chip achieved first-pass silicon success after tape-out began in October 2025, marking the company’s seventh consecutive successful tape-out across ASIC programs since 2022. The proprietary chip has now entered system-level testing and production preparation ahead of planned multi-generation roadmap execution.
1. First-Pass Silicon Success
BGIN Blockchain completed first-pass silicon success on its 4nm BT1 Bitcoin mining ASIC chip, the company’s first proprietary Bitcoin-focused design. This milestone follows a tape-out phase initiated in October 2025 and continues a streak of seven consecutive successful tape-outs in ASIC mining chip programs since 2022.
2. System-Level Testing and Production Preparation
With silicon validated, the BT1 chip has moved into comprehensive performance and stability testing to assess hash-rate efficiency and thermal performance. Parallel efforts are underway to integrate the chip into mining system prototypes and optimize power consumption, paving the way for volume production.
3. Strategic Roadmap and Next-Gen Development
BGIN views the BT1 launch as a strategic shift from peripheral hash power to infrastructure-grade Bitcoin mining solutions and is executing a multi-generation ASIC roadmap. Early development on next-generation architectures aims to boost energy efficiency and maintain cost control across future chip iterations.
