BiomX Subsidiary Launches AI Detection on Four Rail Segments After 98% Pilot Success
PHGE•BiomX’s subsidiary Zorronet has commenced supply and installation of AI-ML–powered detection and command systems on four Israel Railways segments under a framework agreement, following a pilot that achieved a 98% large-animal deterrence success rate and zero collisions. Israel Railways’ new eastern line adds further deployment opportunities.
1. Installation Kickoff Under Railways Agreement
Zorronet, a wholly owned subsidiary of BiomX, has begun supplying and installing AI and machine learning–powered detection and command-and-control systems on four sections of the Israel Railways network, fulfilling terms of a previously awarded framework supply agreement.
2. AI-ML Detection System Capabilities
The deployed solution integrates multiple feed sources with AI algorithms to detect humans and wildlife near tracks, assess risk levels, trigger alerts and automated deterrent responses, and includes ongoing maintenance with a 24/7 service center.
3. Pilot Phase Performance Metrics
In collaboration with Israel Railways’ innovation division, the pilot achieved a 98% success rate in deterring large animals and recorded zero related collisions over a one-year period, meeting custom operational requirements.
4. Expansion Potential with New Eastern Line
The recent opening of Israel Railways’ eastern line expands the national network, offering additional segments for potential future deployments and deeper cooperation between Zorronet and Israel Railways.
