Bitmine Immersion Technologies anchors funding for Ethereum Institutional, an independent non-profit consolidating a year of institutional engagement work with support from Sharplink and Joe Lubin. Ethereum currently hosts about $180 billion in stablecoins and two-thirds of tokenized assets, and institutional expansion is set to grow into markets like Zurich and Tokyo.
Ethereum Institutional has been established as an independent non-profit consolidating a year of engagement work led by former Ethereum Foundation leaders. Bitmine Immersion Technologies, Sharplink and Ethereum co-founder Joe Lubin are anchoring the funding, joined by dozens of individual and institutional backers to create a dedicated institutional front door for the Ethereum ecosystem.
The organization enters with a record of building over 500 institutional relationships and hosting a forum representing $250 trillion in combined assets under management. It will operate along five pillars—Education and Engagement, Intelligence, Marketing, Standards and Events—to support institutions evaluating tokenization, stablecoins and onchain market infrastructure.
Initial coverage spans New York, London, Hong Kong and Singapore, with planned expansion into Zurich, Frankfurt, Tokyo and Abu Dhabi through embedded regional leads. The board is composed of Thomas Lee of Bitmine, Joseph Chalom of Sharplink and David Walsh, who will oversee strategy to make Ethereum the foundational layer for institutional finance.
