Boeing secured an $8.6 billion Pentagon contract for F-15 jets in the Israel program. Boeing looks set to close 2025 with more net aircraft orders than Airbus, highlighting continued strong demand for its commercial lineup.

1. Pentagon Awards Boeing $8.6 Billion F-15 Israel Contract

On Monday, the U.S. Department of Defense announced an $8.6 billion contract awarded to Boeing for the F-15 Israel Program, marking one of the largest single awards in Boeing’s defense portfolio this year. The agreement covers 25 F-15IA fighters, associated spare parts, weapons systems integration and pilot training services. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in late 2026 and conclude by 2030. This contract follows high-level discussions between President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in Florida, underscoring strong U.S.-Israel defense cooperation. Investors should note that the order provides significant revenue visibility for Boeing’s Defense, Space & Security unit over the next five years.

2. Boeing Extends Lead in 2025 Net Commercial Jet Orders

Through the first eleven months of 2025, Boeing secured 1,150 net commercial jet orders, exceeding Airbus by a margin of approximately 150 aircraft as the year draws to a close. The bulk of these commitments came from North American carriers, which placed firm orders for 737 MAX 8 and 787 Dreamliner models to support fleet renewal. Boeing’s net order tally was bolstered by several conversion agreements from 737 MAX 10 to MAX 8, reflecting airlines’ preference for the high-utilization narrowbody on regional and transcontinental routes. Market analysts project that Boeing’s stronger order momentum may translate into improved production rates at its Renton, Washington facility in early 2026.
