BorgWarner Secures 2GW AI Data Center Turbine Supply Deal
BorgWarner signed a Master Supply Agreement with TurboCell to deliver a highly modular turbine generator system designed for gigawatt-scale AI data center campuses and microgrid applications. Production is set to begin in Hendersonville, North Carolina in 2027 with an initial 2 GW capacity and roughly 65% vertical integration.

BorgWarner signed a Master Supply Agreement with TurboCell, a subsidiary of Endeavour, to supply a highly modular turbine generator system for AI-driven data center and microgrid applications. The deal marks BorgWarner’s strategic entry into the data center power market.
2. System Features
The turbine generator system offers backup and prime power capabilities, advanced controls for dynamic response to power transients and grid peaks, and flexible fuel options including natural gas, propane, diesel and hydrogen. It is engineered to meet current and future CARB emission standards or stricter environmental requirements.
3. Manufacturing Plan
Production will begin in Hendersonville, North Carolina in 2027 with an initial installed capacity of 2 GW. BorgWarner plans to leverage its automotive supply base to control approximately 65% of the system content, maximizing vertical integration.
