Brenmiller Energy Acquires 1.2 MWp Hungarian PV Facility, Adds $173K Revenue
BNRG•Brenmiller Energy acquired a 1.2 MWp photovoltaic facility in Hungary for approximately $1.1 million, projected to generate $173 000 in annual revenue. The purchase lays the foundation for a BNRG360 integrated energy hub, planning up to 20 MW solar, 6 MWh battery storage and 12.5 MWh thermal storage for industrial customers.
1. Acquisition Details
Brenmiller Energy purchased a 1.2 MWp photovoltaic facility in Hungary for approximately $1.1 million, with operations starting immediately and expected to contribute around $173 000 in annual revenue. The site is located adjacent to its planned industrial energy project with Partner in Pet Food Hungaria KFT, reinforcing geographic synergies.
2. Strategic Implications
This acquisition advances Brenmiller's Energy-as-a-Service model and marks the initial rollout of its BNRG360 strategy, evolving the company from a thermal energy storage provider into a developer, owner and operator of integrated clean-energy assets. The facility creates a recurring revenue stream while supporting long-term service agreements with industrial customers.
3. Expansion and Integration Plans
Brenmiller intends to expand the site into a full BNRG360 hub by adding up to 20 MW of solar generation, a 6 MWh battery energy storage system and a 12.5 MWh thermal energy storage system. Future phases may include direct electricity and heat delivery to nearby industrial users and modular data centers to optimize land, grid connectivity and energy resource utilization.
