British teenager Slater to make F1 practice debut with Audi
Freddie Slater will make his Formula One practice debut with Audi in Mexico next week and take part in Friday practice in Brazil the week after.
1. Practice appearances
The 18-year-old will take part in practice sessions in Mexico and Brazil, Audi said. Slater was Formula Three runner-up in his rookie season this year and will move up to Formula Two next year.
2. Development programme
Slater was the first recruit to Audi's F1 driver development programme. Racing director Allan McNish said the appearances would give him experience of a Formula One race weekend and another chance to continue his development before Formula Two.
