Broadcom Unveils 3.43 Gbps 5G-Wi-Fi 8 FWA Platform and New Wi-Fi 8 SoCs
AVGO•Broadcom and Samsung introduced an FWA reference platform integrating Broadcom’s BCM6776 Wi-Fi 8 SoC with Samsung’s B1320 5G modem, supporting 3.43 Gbps downlink, quad-core Arm CPU and 50% lower power draw. Broadcom rolled out BCM6772, 6774 and 6776 Wi-Fi 8 SoCs for multi-gigabit mesh and partnered with FuriosaAI on new inference platform.
1. FWA Platform Collaboration
Broadcom and Samsung unveiled an FWA reference platform integrating Broadcom’s BCM6776 Wi-Fi 8 SoC with Samsung’s B1320 5G modem, targeting fixed wireless access. It delivers up to 3.43 Gbps downlink, quad-core Arm processing, Power Class 1.5 support and a 50% reduction in active power consumption.
2. Expanded Wi-Fi 8 SoC Portfolio
Broadcom expanded its Wi-Fi 8 family with three integrated SoCs—BCM6772, BCM6774 and BCM6776—combining quad-core CPUs, network processors, multi-gigabit Ethernet PHYs and 2.4/5 GHz radios on a single die. These devices enable compact, cost-efficient mesh systems and routers with multi-gigabit WAN/LAN support and on-chip power amplifiers, reducing BOM and heat output.
3. AI Inference Platform Partnership
Broadcom partnered with FuriosaAI to co-develop a next-generation inference platform designed for the agentic era. This collaboration aims to optimize silicon and software integration for AI acceleration and efficient data center inference workloads.
