VST•Vistra shares fall after second-quarter profit slip
Shares of Vistra VST.N dipped 3.3% to $137.07 after the power producer reported a second-quarter profit decline.
The company registered an unrealized loss of $472 million in the second quarter from hedges expected to settle in future years.
Second-quarter net income declined to $305 million from $327 million a year earlier.
Interest expenses and related charges rose 3% year over year to $312 million, while operating costs jumped 16.4% to $853 million.
Including the session's move, the stock was down 12.3% year to date.
