2. Civil Segment Decline and Transformation Costs
Civil segment revenue declined 5% to $717.2 million, pressured by lower simulator sales and a drop in training center utilization from 76% to 71%. Management announced a plan to retire 25 simulators, incurring $7.3 million in transformational expenses this quarter.
3. Outlook and Asset Divestiture Plans
Management expects the simulator network rationalization to boost utilization by 400 basis points over the next 12–24 months. CAE is also reviewing non-core assets representing about 8% of revenue for potential divestiture to refocus its portfolio.
