Can-Fite Showcases Two Phase III Drugs, Secures $20M in Licensing Deals at BIO 2026
CANF•Can-Fite will hold partnering meetings June 22–25 at BIO Convention to explore licensing for its late-stage pipeline, including Namodenoson’s Phase III hepatocellular carcinoma trial, a Phase IIb MASH study and a Phase IIa pancreatic cancer trial. The company has secured $20 million in upfront and milestone payments so far.
1. Late-Stage Clinical Programs
Can-Fite’s lead candidate Namodenoson is in a pivotal Phase III trial for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma, alongside a Phase IIb study in MASH and a Phase IIa trial in pancreatic cancer. Piclidenoson is advancing through a Phase III psoriasis trial while preparatory work begins for a Phase II study in Lowe Syndrome.
2. Licensing Agreements and Financial Impact
The company’s A3AR platform has yielded multiple regional licensing deals, generating approximately $20 million in upfront and milestone payments to date, with additional royalties and milestone revenues possible upon future trial and regulatory milestones.
3. BIO 2026 Convention Partnering Plans
From June 22 to 25 in San Diego, Can-Fite will conduct one-on-one meetings with pharmaceutical and biotech firms to negotiate licensing and commercialization agreements for its clinical-stage assets and seek value-creating collaborations.
