Canadian dollar weakens, benchmark yield slips

1. Currency and bond moves
The Canadian dollar weakened against the U.S. dollar on Friday, trading at C$1.4139, or 70.73 U.S. cents, within a range of C$1.4134 to C$1.4154. Canadian 10-year government bond yields fell 5 basis points to 3.948%, while similar U.S. benchmark yields rose to 5.1793%; November U.S. crude futures fell $2.06 to $92.55 a barrel.
