Castello SGR signs deal with IHG to open Kimpton hotel in Rome by 2029
IHG•Castello SGR signed a deal with IHG Hotels & Resorts to open Rome’s first Kimpton-branded hotel in 2029. The project will redevelop an existing building near Via Veneto into a 114-room luxury lifestyle hotel.

The project will redevelop an existing building near Via Veneto into a 114-room luxury lifestyle hotel. Plans include restoring an on-site theater and converting it into a multi-use arts and events venue for guests and local residents.
2. Fund acquired the asset
The Rome Hotel Development Fund acquired the asset in March 2026. Its sole unitholder is 1AM Rome Prime Real Estate Development Fund.
