Cerebras Unveils 200 MW AI Compute Expansion in Europe by 2027
CBRS•Cerebras Systems will activate its first European data center by the end of 2026 and expand capacity across France, Norway and Finland to 200 MW of AI compute by year-end 2027. A portion of this capacity is earmarked to support OpenAI workloads and deliver low-latency inference for European enterprises.
1. European Infrastructure Build-out
Cerebras Systems plans to bring its initial European data center online by the end of 2026 and scale total AI compute capacity to 200 MW by the end of 2027 across France, Norway and Finland. This build-out addresses growing local demand for high-performance AI inference and training.
2. OpenAI Partnership Integration
A share of the planned capacity is reserved for OpenAI workloads under the companies’ existing collaboration, enabling faster model inference directly within Europe. This allocation strengthens Cerebras’ role in powering large-scale AI applications for strategic partners.
3. Market and Strategic Implications
With enterprises and governments seeking low-latency compute inside the EU, Cerebras’ wafer-scale engine expansion positions the company to capture regional market share. Localized capacity also helps customers meet data residency and regulatory requirements while improving performance.
