Chevron said the Nargis-2 appraisal well offshore Egypt encountered high-quality reservoirs and confirmed the discovery made at Nargis-1. The well appraised the Miocene and Oligocene sections, and the results will help guide further technical analysis and exploration planning in Egypt and the Mediterranean region.
2. Concession interests
Chevron holds a 45% working interest in the Nargis concession, as does IEOC Production B.V.; Egypt's Tharwa Petroleum Company holds 10%. Nargis-2 was drilled in the concession's second exploration phase, which required Chevron to drill one exploratory well.
