Clear Secure has struck a collaboration with Mount Sinai Health System to deploy its CLEAR1 secure identity platform across seven hospitals, more than 400 outpatient sites and over 600 research and clinical labs in the New York metro area. This marks the first implementation of CLEAR1 within a New York City health system and covers both patient and employee identity management across the Mount Sinai ecosystem.

The CLEAR1 integration embeds into electronic health records, patient portals and clinician tools, streamlining account creation, access and recovery. By unifying digital channels with physical kiosks and tablets, the system is projected to reduce duplicate records and enable thousands of staff hours to be redirected from administrative tasks to patient care.

The partnership underscores Clear Secure’s entry into large-scale healthcare deployments, potentially opening a multi-hospital market and boosting recurring SaaS revenue. Successful rollout at Mount Sinai could serve as a proof point for other major health systems considering identity assurance solutions at NIST IAL2 and AAL2 standards.
