ClearSign, Kern Energy win DOE validation program slot for Core Gen 2 burner deployment
CLIR•ClearSign Technologies and Kern Energy were selected for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Industrial Technology Validation program to support installation and operation of ClearSign’s Core Gen 2 Flex Fuel Process Burner at Kern’s refinery.
1. Validation project
The program aims to validate emissions reductions while enabling the use of refinery byproduct gas to offset natural gas consumption. Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory will independently assess performance data from operations at Kern Energy’s facility.
