Clover Health Launches Real-Time FHIR USCDI v3 Data Exchange on Kno2
Clover Health now provides real-time patient-directed access to clinical and claims data via Kno2 using standardized FHIR (USCDI v3) formats, aligning with CMS’s Health Tech Ecosystem and TEFCA’s IAS standards. This integration is powered by Counterpart Health infrastructure and will be showcased live at HIMSS 2026.
1. Collaboration with Kno2 Network
Clover Health has gone live on Kno2’s Qualified Health Information Network, enabling patient-directed clinical and claims data requests to traverse a secure, nationwide interoperability framework. This deployment leverages standards-based protocols to comply with recent CMS Health Tech Ecosystem and TEFCA’s Initial Access Services requirements.
2. Real-Time FHIR (USCDI v3) Implementation
Through the Kno2 connection, Clover Health responds instantly to patient-authenticated data requests using FHIR (USCDI v3) formats, delivering structured clinical and claims information in real time. This capability demonstrates production-ready, bidirectional data exchange rather than a compliance-only solution.
3. Counterpart Health as Enabling Infrastructure
Underlying this interoperability is Counterpart Health’s bi-directional platform, which aggregates and normalizes clinical data at scale. Counterpart Assistant serves as the responding gateway, routing patient requests and formatting data in standardized FHIR bundles for Clover Health’s Medicare Advantage members.
4. Live Demonstrations at HIMSS 2026
From March 10–12, Clover Health, Kno2, and Counterpart Health will conduct live end-to-end demos of patient-authenticated claims data requests in the Aligned Networks Showcase at HIMSS 2026 (booth #12720). Attendees will see requests traverse Kno2’s network, hit Counterpart’s gateway, and return structured data from Clover Health.
