CME Group agrees to take over EEX European dairy products by end-2027

The deal includes European butter and skimmed milk powder indices, as CME prepares to launch European dairy indices, futures, options.
EEX-listed dairy futures remain available for current maturities, with no immediate changes to the pan-European butter and WECI indices.
Closing remains subject to pending conditions.
CME to take over EEX European dairy business
CME Group agreed to take over EEX’s European dairy business, transferring the indices underpinning existing dairy futures contracts.
EEX plans to phase out its dairy operations, supporting the transition to CME before the end of 2027.
