CME to extend 24/7 trading to silver futures

CME Group will extend 24/7 trading to its 100-Ounce Silver futures contract starting Sept. 11, pending regulatory review.

The move follows the July 24 launch of 24/7 trading in 1-Ounce Gold futures, with 53,000 weekend-session contracts worth about $219 million.

100-Ounce Silver futures launched in February 2026, averaging 17,800 contracts a day in the first half of 2026.
