Coherent’s executive and technical teams will appear in more than 14 peer-reviewed presentations at SPIE BiOS and Photonics West 2026, January 17–22 in San Francisco. Sessions span advanced laser architectures, specialty materials and precision laser processing techniques across industrial, scientific and energy applications. Highlights include a January 20 panel on co-packaged optics led by Chief Marketing Officer Dr. Sanjai Parthasarathi, plus papers on biocompatible specialty fibers for medical diagnostics, multiphoton microscopy lasers, high-efficiency semiconductor diode developments in the 780–1060 nm range, scalable inertial fusion energy pump modules and multi-junction semiconductor lasers exceeding 1 kW/bar. Coherent experts will also discuss double-clad, thulium-doped fiber systems achieving >50% efficiency at 2 µm and novel PLD-produced HTS-tapes for fusion applications.

From January 20 to 22, Coherent will display its full photonics portfolio at Booth 4805 in the SPIE Photonics West Exhibition. The exhibit will feature high-power ultrafast lasers, advanced optical components, specialty fibers and new materials optimized for industrial performance and reliability.
