Commvault Expands Clumio and Cloud Platform to Google Cloud with Petabyte-Scale AI Data Resilience
Commvault’s Clumio extended its immutable SaaS backup and recovery to Google Cloud Storage, enabling petabyte-scale AI workloads protection with air-gapped vaults, now in early access and slated for GA summer 2026. Commvault Cloud platform launched on Google Cloud Marketplace with end-to-end resilience for BigQuery, GKE, Compute Engine and Workspace workloads.
1. Clumio Extends to Google Cloud Storage
Commvault’s Clumio now supports immutable, air-gapped backup and recovery for petabyte-scale datasets in Google Cloud Storage, closing resilience gaps in AI and analytics workloads and replacing manual, error-prone processes with automated, cloud-native workflows.
2. Commvault Cloud Platform Debuts on Google Cloud Marketplace
The Commvault Cloud suite launched on Google Cloud Marketplace, offering end-to-end protection for BigQuery, Google Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud SQL and Workspace workloads, alongside advanced threat scanning, air-gap protect and automated policy recommendations.
3. Availability and Pricing
Clumio for Google Cloud is available for early access now with general availability targeted for summer 2026, while Commvault Cloud leverages a credit-based, utility-driven pricing model via Google Cloud Marketplace to align costs with consumption and scale with customer needs.
