Costco September net sales rise 13% to $30.02 billion

Total company comparable sales rose 11.4%, including increases of 12.5% in the U.S., 6.3% in Canada and 10.8% in other international markets. Excluding gasoline price and foreign-exchange impacts, comparable sales increased 7.6% companywide. Digitally enabled sales rose 19.0% year over year, or 19.1% excluding foreign exchange. A shift in Labor Day timing lifted September total and comparable sales by a little more than 50 basis points.
