Venture scope and operating structure
The venture will manufacture mutually agreed biologics drug substance for global markets, and the scope may expand as capacity scales and demand grows.
The partners will jointly oversee construction and operations. The collaboration combines CSPC’s AI-driven GMP manufacturing system with AstraZeneca’s global quality and supply chain expertise.
CSPC and AstraZeneca form manufacturing joint venture
CSPC Pharmaceutical has entered a joint venture contract with AstraZeneca to build a next-generation biologics manufacturing facility in Shijiazhuang, China.
CSPC will hold 51% of the venture, while AstraZeneca will hold 49%.
