CTS has launched the TSX Crystal with Integrated Thermistor, its first crystal resonator product featuring built-in temperature sensing to deliver real-time feedback and enhanced frequency compensation. The new TSX series spans frequencies from 16 MHz to 285 MHz with tolerances of ±10–20 ppm and packaging in 2520, 2016, and 1612 SMD formats.
CTS has introduced the TSX Crystal with Integrated Thermistor, marking the first crystal resonator in its portfolio to embed temperature sensing. The new series aims to deliver compact, efficient frequency control solutions by combining crystal resonators with integrated thermistors.
The built-in thermistor establishes excellent thermal coupling to the crystal element, enabling real-time temperature feedback and active frequency compensation. This tight integration reduces board-level complexity and enhances frequency stability across varying temperatures.
The TSX crystal supports frequencies from 16 MHz to 285 MHz, with tolerance options of ±10 ppm to ±20 ppm and stability ranging from ±10 ppm to ±50 ppm over temperature. These specifications suit high-precision applications requiring miniaturization and reliable performance.
Available in hermetically sealed 2520, 2016, and 1612 SMD packages, the TSX series meets RoHS and Pb-free standards for high reliability. Target markets include telecommunications base stations, consumer electronics, automotive systems, industrial instrumentation, medical devices, and network synchronization equipment.
