Curaleaf rebuts Aurora statements on takeover offer, says talks have not progressed

Curaleaf is pursuing an offer for Aurora Cannabis, positioning it as a premium proposal tied to Aurora’s latest published numbers on Aug. 5.

The bid remains unresolved, with Curaleaf stating there have been no substantive talks on a deal.

Curaleaf says Aurora has declined to sign an NDA or allow a site visit, despite public statements about being open to engagement.

Curaleaf argues Aurora’s operating claims mask weak performance, citing C$400 million in impairments and transformation costs under current leadership.

Aurora shares fell about 35% through Aug. 10, 2026; Curaleaf shares rose about 56% over the same period.
