Cushman & Wakefield sees Czech student housing shortfall at 124,300 beds
CWK•Cushman & Wakefield flagged a shortfall of about 124,300 student beds in the Czech Republic in the 2025/2026 academic year. Enrollment rose 5% to 330,500, while dedicated accommodation capacity increased 0.3% to 68,100 beds.

Prague had 27,900 beds for 77,200 students from outside the region, while Brno had 14,300 beds for 44,100. Private student accommodation represented 11% of capacity, and the average monthly rent per bed in Prague was CZK 13,800.
