Cushman & Wakefield’s Saraf sees $30 billion needed for India data center buildout by 2030
CWK•Cushman & Wakefield’s Gautam Saraf said India’s data center buildout will need about $30 billion in development capital by 2030, when nearly 3.9 GW of additional capacity is expected.
1. Buildout needs
Saraf said India’s data center market is shifting toward larger-scale builds and expanding geographically. Growth drivers include rising data consumption, AI demand, cloud adoption, hyperscaler expansion, colocation buildouts and enterprise deployments; government measures on infrastructure status, financing, land access, power and renewable energy are also supporting investment.
