CVS Caremark Restores Zepbound Oct 1, Adds Foundayo June 1 for 25–30M Members
LLY•CVS Caremark will restore coverage for Eli Lilly's Zepbound injection on Oct.1 and add its new oral weight-loss pill Foundayo to standard commercial formularies from June1, covering roughly 25–30 million people. PBM spending could fall 10–15%, with Zepbound's $1,086 monthly price trimming to a $25 copay for certain patients.

On May 28, CVS Caremark announced it will reinstate coverage for Eli Lilly's Zepbound injection on Oct.1 and add the new oral weight-loss pill Foundayo to its standard commercial formularies starting June1.
2. Patient Access Expansion
The updates apply to the PBM's standard formulary template covering roughly 25–30 million members, with final coverage subject to employer and health plan selections.
3. Cost and Spending Impact
The co-preferred placement with Novo Nordisk’s obesity therapies is projected to reduce PBM spending by 10–15%, and while Zepbound's list price is $1,086 per month, certain privately insured patients may pay as little as a $25 copay.
