Decoy Therapeutics says preclinical PK data support once-weekly intranasal dosing for DCOY-CoV program

Decoy Therapeutics released preclinical pharmacokinetic data supporting once-weekly intranasal dosing for its lead coronavirus program, DCOY-CoV. A single dose maintained drug concentrations above designed therapeutic levels for up to seven days in nasal mucosa and lung tissue.
2. Program plans
The company said the tissue retention supports potential prophylactic use for high-risk patients, including immunocompromised people and COPD patients. DCOY-CoV targets endemic human coronaviruses, including SARS-CoV-2, using the company’s multi-antiviral design approach, and is expected to enter clinical trials in 2027.
