E-Power Expands Vietnamese Plant with 30% Local Value-Add for AI Data Centers
E-Power inspected ATSC SOLARTECH’s Hung Yen facility to establish Vietnamese anode production for AI data centers and ESS markets. Local output will meet a 30% value-added threshold for US ILA subsidies and achieve about 70% of China’s manufacturing efficiency.
1. Vietnam Expansion Overview
E-Power completed a high-level site inspection at ATSC SOLARTECH’s Hung Yen facility to establish an anode material production hub supplying AI data center and ESS customers in North America and Southeast Asia.
2. Supply Chain Resilience and Cost Benefits
The Vietnam operation will attain local origin certification with a 30% value-added threshold to qualify for US ILA subsidies, leverage competitive labor and stable grid power to reach around 70% of China’s manufacturing efficiency, and streamline delivery for tier-1 partners.
3. Technology Integration and Future Capacity
The project integrates E-Power’s Top-3 global anode technologies with ATSC SOLARTECH’s CVD deposition and graphitization capabilities, piloting minimum viable capacity with potential expansion into advanced Silicon-Carbon anodes for next-generation batteries.
4. Next Steps and Timeline
E-Power plans to finalize its Minimum Capacity Plan by the end of March, formally register the Vietnam subsidiary and initiate customer certification processes before scaling up operations.
