EnBW expands Germany fast-charging network with XCharge 480 kW chargers
XCHG•XCharge and EnBW expand fast-charging rollout
XCHG Limited entered a long-term partnership with EnBW to deploy XCharge C7 480 kW fast chargers across EnBW’s nationwide network in Germany.
Rollout began at EnBW’s Karlsruhe headquarters site, with additional units operating at EnBW’s fast-charging hub in Nettetal.
Field test supports higher-power charging plans
The agreement followed a field test that logged tens of thousands of charging sessions, supporting EnBW’s move to higher-power charging.
EnBW targets highway fast-charging parks for the 480 kW systems, aiming to cut charging times for long-distance travel use cases. EnBW plans a further double-digit number of fast-charging parks using the C7 technology by end-2026.
