EnerSys Consolidates Four Operating Segments into Three Effective Q1 Fiscal 2027
ENS•EnerSys will realign its four operating segments into three—Network & Infrastructure Solutions for broadband, data center and industrial utility; Industrial Mobility Solutions for forklifts and Class 8 trucks; and Precision Power Solutions for defense and aerospace—effective Q1 fiscal 2027. New Ventures will be folded into segments and Q1 fiscal 2027 guidance remains unchanged.
1. New Three-Segment Structure
EnerSys realigned its prior four operating segments into three reportable units—Network & Infrastructure Solutions serving broadband, telecom, data center and industrial utility customers; Industrial Mobility Solutions combining motive power and transportation applications for forklifts and Class 8 trucks; and Precision Power Solutions supporting defense, aerospace and specialized programs—effective Q1 fiscal 2027.
2. Integration of New Ventures and Charge Redistribution
The New Ventures business will no longer be separate; its sales will be reported within the new segments and prior costs, previously under New Ventures, will be reallocated as corporate charges distributed across all lines of business based on a new allocation methodology.
3. Guidance Unchanged and Reporting Implications
EnerSys’s guidance for the first quarter of fiscal 2027 remains unchanged despite the realignment, and consolidated balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements are unaffected; the company provided recast unaudited segment data for fiscal years 2025 and 2026 to enable comparability under the new structure.
