The rollout starts in the Middle East and Africa, leveraging Ericsson’s cloud-native APIs and compliance-ready infrastructure serving 120 million users across 22 countries.

Ericsson is integrating its Fintech Platform (Mobile Financial Services) with Mastercard Move to enable seamless cross-border payments for telecom operators, banks and fintech firms. The collaboration aims to expand digital wallet features, introduce new payment products and broaden financial access for unbanked and underbanked users.

2. Technical Integration

The pre-integrated APIs and cloud-native deployment model simplify connectivity to Mastercard Move’s transfer and payout services, while compliance-ready infrastructure reduces operational hurdles and accelerates service launches.

3. Scale and Rollout

Mastercard Move supports transactions across more than 200 countries, 17 billion endpoints and 150 currencies. Ericsson’s platform already operates in 22 countries with 120 million active users handling over four billion monthly transactions, with the initial deployment targeting the Middle East and Africa.
