Ericsson Validates Pre-6G Interoperability, Partners with Nokia on AI-Driven Networks

ERICERIC

Ericsson validated interoperability of its pre-6G base station with Keysight’s prototype devices, testing key KPIs such as RSRP, rank and throughput. The company also partnered with Nokia to launch AI-driven autonomous networks offering multivendor flexibility for telecom service providers.

1. Pre-6G Interoperability Validation

Ericsson collaborated with Keysight to validate interoperability between its pre-6G base station and prototype devices through RF digital twin simulations and over-the-air measurements. The testing focused on key performance indicators such as reference signal received power, spatial rank and data throughput, supporting early 6G concept validation as industry standards evolve.

2. Nokia Tie-Up for Autonomous Networks

Ericsson launched a strategic partnership with Nokia to develop AI-driven autonomous network solutions, integrating Ericsson’s radio infrastructure with Nokia’s automation software. This collaboration aims to deliver multivendor flexibility and advanced network management capabilities for telecom service providers, enhancing operational efficiency and service reliability.
